Matt Drabick, the president and owner of DigiTek Systems, started working in broadcast television back in 1978 at a tender young age. Over the years he worked at two commercial and one educational television stations, was both a freelancer and independent videographer/producer, taught motion picture, video and computer graphics at North Carolina State Univeristy for nine years, and even briefly worked at a multimedia company producing industrial training materials.

Starting in 1990, with the release of the original NewTek Video Toaster, Matt Drabick wrote product reviews and features about desktop video production for various magazines including AV Video, Video Toaster User and Computer Pictures. Between articles he worked as a sales consultant for a leading NewTek Video Toaster and Play Trinity dealer based in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Finally, in the fall of 2001, he founded DigiTek Systems, and has been selling NewTek, Blackmagic Design, Matrox, Adobe and other products ever since.

By focusing on a few select products (NewTek VT[5] and TriCaster, Matrox RT.X2 and MXO2, Adobe Premiere and Sony Vegas PRO) and associated peripherals, DigiTek Systems has established itself as a user-friendly reseller capable of providing the best information, pricing, training and service possible for clients both large and small.
