NewTek announces price-drop for the TriCaster 300

The commercial price for a TriCaster 300 has been lowered to $11,995.00 and the educational price for a TriCaster 300 is now $9,995.00.

This is extremely exciting news! Not too long ago the commercial TriCaster 300 sold for $14,995.00 and the educational TriCaster 300 sold for $14,495.00, which equates to price-drops of $3,000.00 and $4,500.00, respectively.

While the TriCaster 300 was the first high-definition TriCaster model sold by NewTek and has been surpassed by the newer TriCaster 450 and 850 series, the TriCaster 300 still offers a lot of capability for a lot less money. With inputs for three live video sources including video cameras, VCRs and DVD players, etc. plus one DDR for playing back video clips from hard drive, one computer connection for external graphics plus virtual sets, titling and more, the TriCaster 300 offers many of the same capabilities as the more expensive TriCaster models. If having only three live video sources to work with isn't an issue, and you want to switch both hi-def and standard-def video sources with professional-looking chromakeying and virtual sets while recording the live-switched program to hard drive plus stream to the internet in real-time, the TriCaster 300 is worth taking a second look at.

NewTek announces the TriCaster 450 and TriCaster 450 EXTREME

Sept. 9th, 2011: At the IBC show in Amsterdam, NewTek announced the release of two new TriCasters, the TriCaster 450 and TriCaster 450 EXTREME. Priced at $14,995.00 and $19,995.00 respectively, these new models represent a significant decrease in price along with an increase in capability for NewTek's high-definition TriCaster line.

Each new model allows four live video inputs to be connected for live-switching purposes plus two DSK or overlays channels, two DDRs for playing back video clips with audio, still images and animated overlays, pus the ability to connect two external computers or Apple AirPlay devices as live video sources, plus create a recording of the live-switch program to hard drive and live streaming to the internet. The TriCaster 850 EXTREME adds four iso-recording channels, meaning you can record the live switch to hard drive and also record three of your video cameras to hard drive during that live switch. Both TriCaster 450 models are shipping and available for sale. The optional TriCaster 450 CS external control panel is available for $4,995.00 while the TriCaster 850 TW instant-replay controller sells for $2,495.00.
