NewTek has released a patch with some new features, and
numerous TriCaster improvements.
After entering your information in the TriCaster registration
database, you will be provided the download link. Here are the
new features and improvements to be enjoyed after running this
65MB installer:
New Features
- Based on user feedback, NewTek has added hotkeys that
will perform necessary live production functions,
regardless of which live tab (VCR, Overlay, Keyer, etc)
is visible along the bottom.
- Keyboard Shortcut added – Up/Down arrow keys always
step through VCR clips
- Keyboard Shortcut added – < > (comma, period
keys) always step through Pictures
- Keyboard Shortcut added – Page Up/ Page Down keys
always step through Overlay templates
- Keyboard Shortcut improved – Escape key always
toggles “Send to VGA Out”
- Additional Windows media profiles (320x240) added to
streaming list
Improvements/fixes
- iVGA client improved to support domains, work-groups and
multiple ethernet cards.
- NewTek Codec has improved data-rate and video quality
- Improved compatibility between Editor and external video
applications
- Reset configs has been improved
- 15fps streaming profiles have been fixed
- WMV recording has been fixed
- CG Post template thumbnails added to Filebin
- VM no longer loses rotary knob control of Overlay

- Many more minor improvements and optimizations

To see if your TriCaster already has these improvements, with
TriCaster
launched, hold down Ctrl-Alt-A. This brings up
the version panel.
If this panel shows a product ID ending in 5988, then you already
have the
latest software already installed. If it is a lower number,
