Changes to NewTek Hardware Warranty Program

NewTek has recently changed their support program for their TriCaster, 3Play and other hardware solutions. In the past, the standard warranty (non-ProTek) included a one-year guarantee on parts and labor for any repairs that needed to be made along with on-line chat support during normal business hours. The standard warranty still includes a one-year guarantee on parts and labor but now only includes email support instead of on-line chat support.

If you want on-line chap support you will need to purchase one of three ProTek support plans offered by NewTek: ProTek Standard; ProTek High; and ProTek Ultra. Each plan offers additional support services but differs in price and the number of years of support.

ProTek Standard includes both email and on-line chat support plus two years of converage. ProTek High includes priority phone handling, email and on-line chat support and one year of coverage. ProTek Ultra includes priority phone handling, email and on-line chat support and one year of coverage plus adds advanced replacement.

Unless you really want phone support and advanced replacement, the ProTek Standard program is probably the better choice given its two years of coverage. Additional years of coverage can be purchased for all three programs. . . .for a total of three years for the ProTek Standard program and two years for the ProTek High and ProTek High programs.
