The new Blackmagic Web Presenter lets you connect any SDI or HDMI source and makes it look like a simple USB webcam. The system uses open source software tools such as Open Broadcaster and XSplit Broadcaster to open up global live streams from any location.  Because the Blackmagic Web Presenter mimics being a webcam, any software works with it via Windows, Mac, Linux and Chromebook. You can even make broadcast-quality Skype calls for doing live interviews easily from any location. Traditional broadcasters can use Blackmagic Web Presenter to quickly get content out to a global audience from any location through YouTube Live, Facebook Live and more!

The Blackmagic Web Presenter includes 12G-SDI and HDMI inputs that support all SD, HD and Ultra HD input video formats up to 2160p60. The video is downconverted to 720p HD for streaming. Blackmagic Web Presenter will even lower the frame rate automatically when the software requests it due to low bandwidth internet connections. Using 720p for streaming means you get great quality HD, in 16:9 format but with the lowest possible data rate so the streaming is simple and easy to setup.

If you add an optional Blackmagic Teranex Mini Smart Panel, you get full controls and an LCD display with video preview, audio meters, video formats and the current USB frame rate. You can use the smart panel to live-switch between the SDI and HDMI inputs right from the front of the Blackmagic Web Presenter, turning the unit into a two-input live video switcher. You can even use the HiFi audio input for music and the XLR audio input for a presenter microphone!

MSRP for the Blackmagic Web Presenter is $495.00 . . . please call Matt Drabick of DigiTek Systems at mdrabick@mindspring.com or 919 790 5488 for our best price. You can also click here for a more-detailed review plus images of the front and back of the unit.
